Skinny or Loop Scarf in time for Valentine's Day

I've been wanting to create a crochet skinny or loop scarf for a while now. After noticing a little extra pink, red and cream yarn sitting on my shelf, I knew it was time to make it happen.

I'm sharing this FREE crochet Pattern with you.

Materials

Worsted weigh yarn - I used about 100 yds total - so about 35 yds of 3 different colors
Crochet Hook: N, H
Small Button
Yarn Needle

Directions

Holding all three strands of yarn together, crochet a chain loosely. Continue the chain until you've reached the length you desire. I made mine 21 feet long. (It took about 10 minutes max!)

Knot off the end and tie the two ends together to form one huge loop. Twist the loop in half and in half again, repeating until you get the length of loop you want for your scarf.

Clasp

Pick one of your yarn colors and use the H hook.

Row 1 - Chain 11. Starting in the 2nd chain from the hook, sc across using front loops only. Turn.      (10 sc)
Row 2 - Chain 1, sc in each stitch across in front loops only. Turn. (10 sc)
Row 3 - 12 - Repeat Row 2
Row 13 - Ch 1, sc in next 4 sts, ch 2, skip 2 sts, sc in last 4 sts. Turn. (Buttonhole made)
Row 14 - Ch 1, sc in each st across. (10 sc)  Fasten off and weave in ends.

Sew a button on the opposite end of the clasp.

Create a heart and sew on to top of clasp.

Wrap the clasp around your loops, hiding the knot where you tied the ends together.

All finished! Good job! Make as many loop scarves as you want.
